The Tallest sporting the play tunic that I have (at long last) finished for her, this was made through following a knitting pattern and then adapting this to fit for crochet.
I normally knit larger projects but have really enjoyed hooking this, although I think that the next few bits will be smaller things as I [...]

Our cushion covers are looking rather sorry for themselves of late, the corners have worn through as the fabric has worn so thin. So here is the first offering to the sofa, modelled very ably by the snoozing Tallest after a hard day at Nursery…
This one was made in honour of Mr GT, I am planning [...]

Here is an example of the gifts that I have been making.
Once upon a time these were the sort of thing that I gave to my ‘green’ friends and family, as the others could never understand why you would want to take a bag to the shops with you, when they gave you one anyway!
But [...]

One of the main reasons that I haven’t been keeping up to date with the posts is that most of my time is being taken up with knitting this…It will be the Smallest’s first birthday in April, and in our household Cheeky Monkey is the name of the moment. So it seemed an apt gift.

Having an extra child to deal with this year, I realised that perhaps I needed to be a little less ambitious with the Christmas cards this year.
They are designed with the tree in mind and are supposed to be Christmas Baubles.
The girls got their feet painted and then walked (Tallest) and pressed (Smallest) their footprints [...]

I have been making these as little gifts for friends and family members. They are simply put together from seven pieces of felt as below.
The flowers are made by snipping into the circles and then rounding the ends of the ‘petals’ this takes a little time but you do get into a rhythm after the [...]

The Tallests imagination was running riot yesterday, and she was busy playing kitchens. She is getting a lovely wooden one for Christmas, but in a blinding flash of inspiration I decided to sew her one to fit over the wicker stool that was her cooker. Its not in the least bit complicated or particularly well [...]

It must be the run up to Christmas…
The Tallest wanted to share her calender with everybody. So here is todays Advent box. This is a design that I think will be used in our Christmas card collection.
Just cut a triangle of green paper on a fold glue it down, add a felt pen stump, and [...]

The Tallest and I embarked on an all day project yesterday, we set out to make her advent. Making this:Its just a collection of small boxes that have been embellished with appropriately festive stuff. She lost interest after a while, so I have done some of them, but now that they are on the wall [...]
