Starting at the end of the other halfs work day, we’ve really been out and about this weekend, and even managed to get some jobs done at the same time.
The Tallest and I dug some new potatoes from the allotment Friday and pulled a good amount of Broadbeans, we took them and a bit salad from the garden, along with some chicken supplied by the Hubby on his way home, and bimbled off to the river at Coltishall collecting Mum and Dad on the way an having an al fresco tea on the grass.
Saturday the girls and I planted out the sweetcorn, sowed some more borlotti beans and planted two Pattison (Patty Pan) Squash plants. While the other half fixed the handbrake and brakes on his car.
We all went to the Tallests friends birthday party, and then afterwards had dinner in the van sitting by the river again this time at Stokesby, so the Tallest could have a good charge about on the park.
Then yesterday, we spent the morning on Waxham Beach, which was pretty windy, we had lunch in the van there and then went onto have afternnon tea at Urstead Shoals (our all time favourite spot by the river) and then home to a barbe dinner once Hubby had moved the back field where the cars are parked.
I feel like we-ve been everywhere this weekend, really busy, but having a lovely time. I’m only slightly dissapointed that I didn’t get to go to a car boot sale, but there’ll be one on somewhere in the week I’m sure!
Now is the time to get this house straight, we haven’t been living in it all weekend but it still manages to get into a mess somehow…
